Auctionet is an international marketplace where auction houses from Sweden, the UK, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Denmark sell furniture, art, design items, collectibles, and much more.

We are now looking for a junior IT support technician to join our IT department – a perfect opportunity for you who want to take your first step into IT and work in an international environment where service, structure, and learning are in focus.

About the role

As an IT support technician, you will work with first line support and be an important contact point for our users when technology does not work as it should. You will assist with troubleshooting, user support, and basic administration, escalating more complex issues within the team.

You will be part of a small IT team where you will work closely with experienced colleagues, learn new technologies, and gradually take on more responsibility. The role suits you if you are new to the IT industry and want to build a solid foundation in support and IT operations.

Examples of tasks

  • Provide technical support to users in Windows and Mac environments

  • First line IT support via email, ticketing system, and phone as needed

  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees

  • Installation and configuration of computers and peripherals

  • Documentation of issues and solutions

  • Escalation of issues to other specialists as needed

Travel and overtime may occur in connection with, for example, rollouts or changes in operations. The position is based at our headquarters in central Stockholm. Immediate start or as agreed.

About the team

You will be part of a small and competent IT team that works closely with each other and the business. Currently, the department consists of two system administrators.

Auctionet has around 170 employees and is the parent company of a larger group with approximately 400 employees in several countries. Our headquarters is located near Stureplan in Stockholm, and we have logistics centers in Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Westbury, and Cologne.

About you

To succeed in this role, you have a genuine interest in IT and enjoy helping others. You thrive in a service-oriented role where problem-solving is a natural part of everyday life and where you can combine technology with communication.

As a person, you are curious, responsible, and structured. You approach tasks with a professional demeanor, are not afraid to ask questions, and want to develop further in IT. You can handle multiple issues simultaneously and ensure they are resolved in an orderly and thorough manner.

Essential qualifications

  • High school education with a focus on IT or equivalent

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

  • Good service sense and a professional demeanor

  • Structured and meticulous in issue management

  • Strong desire to learn new systems and develop within IT

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience in IT support, service desk, or similar (e.g., internship or part-time job)

  • Experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365

  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory

  • Basic networking knowledge

Our recruitment process

We want a clear and transparent recruitment process.

  • Initial phone interview

  • Two to three interviews where we discuss you, the role, and Auctionet

  • A small homework assignment

  • Hopefully a match that feels right for both parties

During the process, you will have the opportunity to meet the people you will work closely with.

Application

We review applications on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than February 15, 2026.
